Setup a Twitter account. (A getting started with Twitter screencast is available.)
Select at least five library oriented people or organizations to follow on Twitter. (If you are new to Twitter you can watch our screencasts to learn how to get started.) A list of potential library people and organizations to follow is available. As you make your selections, think about those people and/or organizations that are going to be most in-line with the professional learning you most want or need to do. Put some thought into who you select by looking over their tweets and their bios on Twitter.
Select at least five non-library oriented people or organizations to follow on Twitter. (If you are new to Twitter you can watch our screencasts to learn how to get started.) A list of potential non-library people and organizations to follow is available. As you make your selections, think about those people and/or organizations that are going to be most in-line with the professional learning you most want or need to do. Spend at least a week reading the Tweets of the people and organizations you are now following. During the week think about how the Tweets of these people helps you to better understand the work you do, teens, etc. After the first week, or longer if you would like, write your reflection on developing a PLN using Twitter. Use the template provided as a jumping off point for what you write-up.
